Airparks is fenced and floodlit and has 24-hour patrols and CCTV. This car park has been awarded the Park Mark, a national security award accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers. Before being awarded the Park Mark, car parks have to be inspected by the police. They have to have modern security measures, such as alarms and CCTV, and be clean and well-lit.
Airparks has combined great customer service with the most up-to-date technology, to create the easiest and most user-friendly car park at Luton airport. The car park was modernised in 2012, so not only is it ship-shape and fantastically fresh but it's super simple to use, thanks to its automated check-in service and attentive staff. .
Heated and well-lit bus shelters, flight information screens, weighing machines, toilets with baby changing facilities, refreshment machines, and free drinking water make Airparks Luton a cut above the rest.
The buses lower, and have ramps and space for a wheelchair.
It is important that you take your booking confirmation with you on the day of your parking.
Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they are less than 2m wide x 2.1m high x 5m long. The car park cannot accept any high-sided vehicles, minibuses, mobile homes, lorries, caravans, trailers, or vehicles larger than the above maximum dimensions. Vehicles with a taxi license plate can be parked on-site, but cannot use the Return Greet or Meet and Greet services offered by Airparks.
Late returns: The car park offers a grace period until midnight at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £20 per day. This is subject to change.
The shuttle bus can't accommodate large sporting equipment, so we'd recommend dropping any off with your passengers at the terminal first, then driving to Airparks.
Drive straight into the car photo booth at the car park, which rapidly scans your entire car body for reference and protection (takes no more than 5 seconds). Park in the arrivals lane and check in using one of the machines, which will give you a ticket. Make sure you keep your ticket safe as you'll need it for your journey to and from the airport.
There are heated waiting areas so you can keep out of the elements. The shuttle to the terminal is included in the price, takes around 14 minutes and run regularly. It's available 24 hours a day and even has free wifi. It's best to leave 40 minutes to park at Airparks and get to the airport - longer during the rush hour between 4am and 8 am.
When you come back take the bus back to Airparks.
