Minneapolis-Saint Paul Airport parking
Minneapolis-Saint Paul Airport parking is arranged in many garages located next to the terminal buildings. Electric vehicle charging stations are available, as is a frequent flier parking pass scheme. On-site parking cannot be reserved there, but a number of off-site lots do offer advance online bookings.
Dropping off and picking up
Pick-up and drop-off points are located immediately outside the terminals, but you cannot wait for long or leave your car at the curb. If you need to wait for a pick-up to get through baggage reclaim, there's a cell-phone lot a short distance from the terminals where you can wait for the call. If you want to leave your vehicle, there are short-term hourly garages immediately opposite the terminals.
Convenient hourly short-term parking is available immediately opposite both terminals, but is intended for people either dropping passengers off or spending only a few hours at the airport.
More cost-efficient daily parking is available in the four garages next to Terminal 1; these are all conveniently placed for access to the terminal building and are just a short ride on the free light rail system to reach Terminal 2. The garages all include electric vehicle charging stations.
The garages next to Terminal 2 are for economy parking, which is the most cost-effective option at MSP. They’re perfectly located for Terminal 2, whilst those flying from Terminal 1 can catch a free light train shuttle to cover the short distance. Economy parking is intended for anyone taking trips beyond one or two nights with a vehicle no higher than 6.8 feet (2.1 meters).
A valet parking service is also available at Terminal 1, which means you can drop your car off right outside the terminal for a valet attendant to find a parking space, have your car ready for you when you get back and even wash it for you in the meantime, if requested. To access valet, you need to continue along the road to the garages until you have passed the ramp for rental car returns.
Frequent flier parking
There are two useful frequent flier parking programs in operation at MSP Airport. ePark Elite is the airport's own pre-pay pass scheme, which guarantees a parking space and is ideal for business travelers who fly from Minneapolis-Saint Paul regularly; the pass can even be shared.
MnPASS/ZipPass is also accepted in the daily and hourly garages.
Off-site valet and Park and Ride services
If you prefer reserving a parking space in advance, there are various off-site parking lots from which to choose. These lots are all located within a few miles of the airport and offer both Park and Ride and valet parking services.
For the Park and Ride service, you need to self-park at the lot and simply catch a free shuttle bus to the airport terminal. Valet services are identical to those at the airport; a valet will meet you curbside at the terminal, park your car in a secure off-site lot and have it back at arrivals for when your return flight lands.
